Embrace SPA Coffee Afternoon
School Parents Association Hosts Embrace Coffee Afternoon
Parents and carers gathered Tuesday 14th January for the School Parents Association's Embrace Coffee Afternoon. The event, organised to promote awareness of the Embrace group’s support services, provided a welcoming space for parents to connect over coffee while learning about the assistance available to families with children and young people who have additional needs.
The Embrace group, a resource for families in the Wigan and Leigh Borough, offers a range of services, including advice and support, help with finding personal assistants (PAs), and mediation for resolving disagreements. Representatives from Embrace were on hand during the coffee afternoon to explain their work and answer questions, ensuring parents left with a clear understanding of the support on offer.
The afternoon concluded with parents sharing feedback and expressing interest in future sessions. The School Parents Association plans to continue working with Embrace to offer resources and events aimed at fostering inclusion and providing practical support for families.
